Newsletter - Spring 2014

Goldwyns News

As this is our first newsletter of 2014, we hope that you all had an enjoyable Christmas and we would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. As has been the case in previous years, we opted to make a contribution to charity in lieu of sending Christmas cards and we are happy to report that we made a donation to Lady McAdden's Breast Screening Trust, which is based here in Southend and is a very worthwhile cause we hope you will agree.

Following the Christmas break everyone has now just about recovered from the busy January period and having filed over 600 tax returns for our clients, we are now looking forwards with enthusiasm to 2014 and the new challenges that will bring.

Before Christmas we said goodbye to Nicki Westbrook and Daniel Berris who have both decided to make the transition from working in practice to working in industry and also to Janice Peck who retired after 11 years at Goldwyns. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all of their efforts in the past and to wish them the very best for the future.

Finally, we would like to extend our congratulations to Niall Hawkins and Sam Rummey, two of our trainees, who have both passed their final ICAEW examination. Well done!
