Goldwyn's News

After many combined years of service between them, we would like to take this opportunity to wish both Chris Hale and Sally Lanham all the best in their respective retirements. Chris has been running the Payroll department for some time now whereas Sally will be known to most of our visitors from her warm greetings. Although Chris has already left us, Sally does not retire until the end of November.

Conversely, we would like to welcome Kathryn Millman to the firm and wish her every success at Goldwyns. As Chris' direct replacement she has been working hard with the rest of our payroll team to understand the role and hopefully has managed to ensure an uninterrupted Payroll service for all clients in the intervening period.

Congratulations are also due to Arthur and Jackie who recently married in Cyprus. Arthur assures us it was a lovely ceremony and the whole day passed without hiccup, although he is relieved his airport taxi services are finally finished. We are just pleased Arthur took his own advice and finally made an honest woman of his lovely lady! We wish the newlyweds all the best in their married life.

Otherwise business continues as normal here at Goldwyns - as the evenings draw in we are approaching our busiest time of the year. Although full details have not yet been finalised, the Government's 'Making tax digital' strategy could well mean the end of the tax return and associated filing deadline as we know it so we are beginning to wonder if our staff might be allowed January holidays again in a few years' time!
