Practice acquisitions Goldwyns - Southend on Sea Accountants

Practice acquisitions

As a firm we are always interested in potential acquisitions or mergers with other local accountancy practices, which form an important part of our growing Essex business.

For many accountants their ultimate exit from practice is a difficult time, particularly if there are no potential successors looking to take over from the outgoing partners. Ensuring continuity of service for long-standing clients is often an important area of concern as no professional ever wants to feel they are deserting their clients without adequate support in place. Rest assured with Goldwyns you are in safe hands – we still look after some clients from mergers we performed over two decades ago!

Over the years we have acquired or merged with numerous practices of various sizes. We understand the challenges that need to be tackled and we work alongside the outgoing partners to ensure there is a smooth transition of all client affairs. We are also pleased to welcome the associated incoming staff too.

Our target acquisitions are usually retiring sole-practitioners but we are always available for completely confidential discussions with any potential prospect, no matter your own individual circumstances. If you would like to discuss this further please contact Sam Blundell in the first instance, or any other available director.

Any potential acquisition will be subject to normal working file checks and practice assessment by us at the appropriate stages, to ensure there is sufficient cultural and professional fit for the acquisition to be a success. All conversations will also be conducted in the strictest confidence.
